a weekend to remember

It was a delightful weekend! To celebrate Julie’s 25th birthday, we went to Go-Jo’s, a wonderful family-owned Ethiopian restaurant in Easttown. On the way, I enjoyed seeing the lights and Christmas trees downtown, the skating at Rosa Parks Circle, Christmas carolers and even a horse drawn carriage! At GoJo’s it was fun trying out a smorgasbord of different foods. From there we went to the Rosie Thomas concert downtown. This was highly anticipated and did not disappoint. Rosie kept me on the edge of my seat, smiling, the entire time. I adore her and was so excited to buy one of the children’s scarves that she makes and sells! From there we went to a quaint 24 hour café and enjoyed warm drinks and played cards. It was so lovely to have a night out on the town. Saturday I spent most of the day at Aveda (details to come) and then headed to Matt’s work party, which is sort of like a prom for grown ups. Food, drinks, entertainment and dancing (though Matt wouldn’t dance, it was fun to watch). And on Sunday we finished up the weekend by cutting a tree, and managing to get a few decorations on before going to bed nice and early. Ahh, what a life!
