Resloutions

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective. ~G.K. Chesterton

So, for 2013:

(fyi: I hate the number 13.  but that's not very positive, is it?)

-take the older kids to a basketball game
-take the older kids to a hockey game
-take all the kids ice skating
-go skiing (it's been too long)
-host a deck party or two
-eat less sugar

-run 3 5k races.  (for the record: i am not someone that enjoys running!)
-have more dance parties
-learn 3 new recipes well
-invite someone we barely know over
-do more gardening
-be more careful about the sun and embrace the paler version of me
-keep up with my picture blog (as in, don't get more than a month behind again...)
-practice calm and patience and deep breathing
-do more yoga (see above)
-figure out how to implement my own mutiny against excess
