Sailing

At the cottage where my family stayed for our little reunion, we had hours of fun with this Hobie Cat. It was so great to be out on it--no motor, just the wind, the sky and the water. Matt became quite convinced that we need one of these some day.

When our friend Curt invited us out on his 26 ft sailboat, we jumped at the chance. It was a lovely, relaxing getaway on the Sunday afternoon after Jackson was baptized.

And yes, I actually got to steer for awhile.

Despite the fun of a large sailboat, Matt and I agreed that we prefer the simplicity of the Hobie Cat. Plus it's actually something that we might be able to afford some day. ;)
