Last year we discussed how fun it would be for a group of friends to rent a cottage at the lake for a week. We didn't realize we'd have a newborn baby when it happened, but we decided to give it a go anyway. So, 5 couples shared this house...there were 10 adults and 10 kids (mostly 2 and under)..and lots of cars to hold all our stuff:

Fortunately we had 2 floors (7 rooms) to fit everyone (and their stuff) into. There was usually at least one baby monitor going off. :)
We had the beach decked out with kiddie pools and other paraphenalia. The toddlers loved it--one big sandbox to themselves!

Mealtimes were always a big production! Very entertaining.
Lauren found that little Henry shared her love of playing babies.
Once the kids were finally down, we had some time to relax--play games, sit around the fire, etc. It was worth giving up sleep for.

(After all, they're only 2 weeks apart)
We had an outing to pick blueberries--the kids were so cute!

Would we do it again? Without a doubt. :)
And Jackson survived his first family vacation.
